Publishing Bids

Bids open for publishing the Pinscher Patter every even year beginning in 2004. If you are interested in submitting a bid, please contact the MPCA Secretary for details.

 

THE PINSCHER PATTER

 

Official Publication of the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc.

The Pinscher Patter is published four times per year for the members of the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. and other persons interested in the Miniature Pinscher Breed. Published by the MPCA, the subscription cost to members' is included with their annual dues and to non-members for $45.00 per year ($60.00 outside the United States).

 

Individual copies are available for purchase for $15.00 each.

 

If you are not a member of the MPCA and would like to subscribe to the Pinscher Patter, please send your name, address and your remittance payable to the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. (MPCA) to VIP Publishing at the address listed.

 

Complimentary copies are mailed to licensed AKC Miniature Pinscher Judges. (breed, group and all breed)

 

Advertising Rates

Rates: Prepaid ads only including the cost of extra photos and special features, MUST accompany your advertising order. Annual contract (4 issues) available at reduced rates. See * for contract payment details. The MPCA will assess a charge of $25.00 for any returned check. Payments should be made payable to the MPCA. All photos are returned with a tear sheet of your ad. Please label the back of each photo for easy return. Full page is 4.5" X 7.5". All copy must by typed. Publisher will not be responsible for hand-written copy. Ad prices include ad layout to your specifications, if fitting with our layout form and availability of type. No extra charge for photo enlargement or reduction. Non-member rates are 150% of regular rates.

Advertising Policies

All preferred ad placements are on a first-come, first-serve basis except for the front cover following the National Specialty which is offered as a trophy for Best of Breed at the Specialty and the back cover following the National Specialty which is offered as a trophy for High In Trial winner. The Top 20 winner also receives a photo ad in the issue following the National Specialty. lf multiple requests qualify, then the earliest postmark will take priority provided payment was included with the request. Also the front cover will have the following order of availability. Ist Best in Show - All Breed; 2nd Best in Show-Local Specialty; 3rd High In Trial All Breed; 4th Group 1; 5th High in Trial Local Specialty; 6th Hall of Fame Dog/Bitch. No advertiser may have preferred placement more than once during any 12 month period, unless it has not been requested by another advertiser.

 

The Pinscher Patter is organized, operated and produced exclusively for the purpose of urging members and/or breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club, Inc., as the only standard of excellence by which the Miniature Pinscher shall be judged, providing charitable and educational information about the Miniature Pinscher and to give recognition to individuals and events of interest. The Pinscher Patter will not accept advertisements advocating or quoting breed standards other than the AKC Breed Standard. Information on foreign breed standards will be allowed in article format. The Pinscher Patter will not accept advertisements that promote a particular opinion, agenda or solicit signatures for petitions. Opinion pieces will be accepted, at the Editors discretion, provided the author states that the article is an opinion and does not solicit signatures for petitions. One opinion piece, per author, will be allowed per calendar year.

 

The Pinscher Patter is authorized to carry official sections and reports issued by the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. Articles appearing in this publication are not necessarily the opinion of the Pinscher Patter, its Editor/Agent, or the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. The right to edit all material or refuse to print material submitted is reserved by The Pinscher Patter through its Editor/Agent and the Board of Directors of the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. or shall be placed by individuals or entities whose advertising submission is judged to be in harmony with the stated purpose of this publication. All persons or entities placing advertisements in, or submitting written materials to the Pinscher Patter are solely responsible for the content or representations and claims made for their dogs/products/services or accuracy of written material.

 

All material, whether in the form of advertisements, articles, symbols, diagrams or illustrations, is accepted and published by the Pinscher Patter, its Editor/Agent and the Miniature Pinscher Club of America, Inc. with the express agreement that the persons or entities submitting the material will indemnify and hold the Club and/or its Editor/Agent free and harmless from any claims or damages or any liability incurred as a result of publishing such material, which is libel, copyright or trademark infringement or plagiarism, and will reimburse the Club and/or its Editor/Agent for any expenses incurred in the defense of any such claims, including reasonable attorney's fee and court costs.
